I have two qustions:
My Mother had a citizenship interview about 3 weeks ago and she passed the test but the letter also said something like “INS will send you written decision about your case”. Same thing happed with my father but he got a letter 3 days after his interview asking for more documents (we sent it and he is now a citizen). But in my Mom’s case we haven’t heard anything yet so how do I check what is going on?
My father filed a petition for my 2 brothers who lives in India and couldn’t come with us because they were over 21 at that time. So as soon as my father got his green card he filed a petition for both of them. Mean time my eldest brother got married so technically his case should be close because green card holder can only apply for unmarried Sons and Daughters. My father has got his citizenship last week. Now the question is how do we inform INS that the category should change now since my father is a US citizen now? Also does my father have to re-file for my eldest brother who got married before my father became US citizen?
any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks
