Is anybody experience about INS take away your asylee status? I am an asylee have applied for GC since 2005 I still haven't got it yet. I spoke with a lawyer about my case. He told me sometime the Asylum Officer will reconsider my asylum case. Sometime they will denie my case due to the condition in my country. Is this true? Is anybody know about this please help me out. When the INS denie my case what will my status be? Thank for your help everybody.......

When USCIS believes there is fundamentals changes in your COP or that you do NOT longer have fear of future persecution they might revoke your refugee status. I guess they will have to bring you in court to demonstrate that.
Keep us posted.

First of all, unless you did something they will not deny your adjustment of status case, even if your country conditions change. Nothing is a given, but they grant those petitions routinely.

Secondly, if they deny your petition you will still be an asylee, as long as your asylee status has not been terminated.

It looks to me that this lawyer tried to misinform you so that he could take your case. If so, fire this lawyer.
