Hello,

Anyone has similar experience ?

I had been issued RFE- Passport copy, Medical, W-2, IT Return, 6 mths pay-stubs, Employment letter with future prospects. We replied to that. Since I didn't have pay-stub for the last 3 mths my lawyer said to send Suppliment A to I-485 and $1000.00.

Now, INS returned I-485-A, chek, and medical form (looks part of medical docs...in a seperate sealed envelope with a note "DO NOT OPEN") with a covering letter in I-797 form saying:

returning these docs. since it is not required at this time. And, please resubmit as per the instruction when you receive receipt (I-797)...

What does it mean ?

Any clue ??

I am totally confused. I sent a mail to lawyer who is not there...

What is this

485-A for?
I think INS thinks whatever this 485-A is for, is not relevant in this case. It asks you to submit only those documents requested in RFE, once you receive this 797 receipt.
Just my opinion. I am not a lawyer. Your lawyer must be knowing better. Keep posted what your lawyer says.

I think 485-A should be filed if you have been out-of-status. Thats what I heard. I am not sure.

My lawyer's View

is like, the other docs. MAY be sufficient..
or they may call for interview..

I am aware taht in few cases, these docs. worked... but do NOT know what happened at this time...
