I recieved a letter from INS in response to one of a bunch of case status inquiries i made.This is in response to the inquiry i made way back in Feb. 15 2002.I recieved my reply yesterday from my mail box and it`s dated Oct. 30 2002 and this is what it states.Your form I-485 was recieved 12/28/98.Currently we are processing those recieved 9/30/98.Allow approximately 3 to 6 more months for processing of your application.Also highlighted is (Date recieved)June 10,1998-Feb.1 1999. (Time frame to be processed) Oct.1,2002-sept.30,2003.

Thanks Sessanga for posting your experience. Basically, they gave you the same answer you find in the last Processing time report and the timeframe posted in INS website.
But it is interesting to know that they say your application, received 12/28/98, will be processed within 3 to 6 months, which means that applications received before 9/30/98 are being processed and expected to be completed within the next three months. Good!!
