Chat User : Hello, Murthiji! Thanks for your wonderful service. Is it true that INS stops processing during auditing next month?
Attorney Murthy : We have not officially heard of any work stoppage based on auditing. It cannot be a nationwide stoppage since the backlogs will increase and a lot of employees will need to be kept busy. There is almost never a full stoppage in processing except in emergencies, like when there was an anthrax scare last year in 2001.
