Ridiculous!
If your company has plans to merge with another company, does it mean that your project deadlines get affected? In most cases, the answer would be no. Regardless of how the organization is structured, some of the basic responsibilities remain the same. You may extend this analogy to the working of the INS as well. INS merging with the Customs department is still at a conceptual stage. It would take several months for it to happen. The case officers cannot and will not be required to wait for those results. They are paid to do their job and will be expected to perform their duties regardless of the outcome of the merger proposal. Don\'t create panic here!!!
