INS Phone Number

Hi,
I know this seems a stupid questions but what is the number you guys are calling INS on to get the case status. I have been trying 949-831-8427 and it is always busy. Even in the dead of night. So is this the number you are supposed to call? If yes then is there a specific time you call?

Yes, the number is correct. I used to call around 6.00 PM and 7.00 PM, Pacific Standard Time, and the call is successful after three or four attempts.
