A wake up call for the INS !
This certainly serves as a slap-in-the-face wake up call for the INS.
There are 2 possible ways that this can impact processing of immigrant and non-immigrant visas:
1. INS will stop wasting time and effort at approving criminals and terrorists 6 months after they are dead and have already committed their dastardly acts. Since time is of the essence, they will HAVE TO find a streamlined and LESS time-consuming ways to identify and not approve terrorists or would be terorists. It would be a much larger negative issue if they keep their current approval process at the current snail\'s pace, especially if they are trying to determine who is and who is not a terrorist applicant!
2. Given my first point, this embarrasing gaffe could potentially mean a more stringent, and longer, background check on the current applicants on file until they find a quicker and effective way of processing applications.
I know that we all wanted our GC, not today nor tomorrow, but yesterday. But, for the sake of my and my family\'s safety, I would rather that until the INS morons have a quicker and more efficient screening process in place, that they can be more stringent even if takes them a little more longer to adjudicate.
