Went to Federal Plaza today to leave inquiry about my I-485. Immigration officer filled an application, but said that they take 6-7 years, not to worry.
on the brighter note my second attempt to get unmarked social security card was successful. They did not even ask a question. Probably they finally read the memo.

6-7 years!

So it seems it will take one or two years longer than the current situation, which is already four to five years long. We really need to do something to shorten this ridiculous waiting time.
