INS fees Reduced!!! (from 01/24/03)

Also not for C9 related EAD Cases.

Call INS first and send if there is any EAD renuals...

fee reduction

The EAD $88 and AP 80 fees starting1/24. But they accept old fees also (if some submit more). These are for C9 also
 
fee is effective from Jan 24 2003..There is quite reasonable reduction in fee. Will INS refund to those who already payed extra amount???
 
The fee reduction is because of a glitch in the homeland security bill (or whatever it is called). Before, applications for asylees and refugees were funded by a part of the fees collected from other sources. But in the homeland security bill they forgot to add that clause (I read about it in some other forum). So INS has no other option but to reduce the fees for most other applications until the congress comes up with a bill to correct it. If somebody has read about this also, please provide the web link. Thanks.
