INS and US Government inefficiency - any grounds for suing?

lately, it took years to receive a green card from the application to the approval time - in my case, over SIX years untill the approval (plus who more to get the plastic!). Now, these years stand between us and the citizenship application - and, in reality, there is a BIG difference in rights of a PR and a citizen these days. Whom should we sue for the delay which has cost us so much?

I don't see any grounds to suing INS or goverment.

I had my share of waiting time as well but I always remembered I am a guest of a foreign country.
We have rights but we have limitations as well.

When I started my process I knew It will take a long time but I have accepted. This is just my thought: "The waiting period is another selective process to see who really wants to stay in USA"

Many people cannot take this l...o...n...g wait and refuse it so they are going back to another country. Sometime I had the same feeling but I made my desicion to wait.

First when we start the process there is not a gurantee the case will be approved. You are submitting an application and it is up to the goverment to analize and approve/deny the application.

If you see the amount of cases pending you will see that 6 years is not a long wait. I know people waiting longer depending of their previous status.

Please don't misunderstood my posting. I was frustrated too when I was waiting but at the end I knew it was my decision to come to USA.

You will see the 5 years will fly because you don't have the big presure like when you were applying for GC.

I hope my words bring some help to you.

Have a Happy New Year!!!!!
