Hi,
I initiated inquiry thru my congress person and yesterday I got the response that my case was actually approved on May 25th and they even mailed cards.
So I called emergency number today in the morning and I got the response that my case is still not approved and stuck in FBI name check.
Whom to believe ?
Anyone else in this situation?

If I am not mistaken congressman's inquiry goes through Div XII. So why not send an Email to them and see what response you got.

Microdev -- where are you located may I ask ? I am also planning to congress

outletvolt1,
got to website - www.house.gov and enter your zip code to find your congressperson.
You should enter zip code of your home address rather than office address.

Aha ! 'tis the catch. If my home congressperson is found not helpful,
can I contact congressperson in my office area ?

Therotically no. But if the lawmaker outside your area is willing to help, he can help.

Just called local congressman's office, that is what I was told

The name check takes from a few months to 3 years.
You can not expedite name check by lawmaker's inquries, even lawsuit.
The best they can do is sending inquiries to CSC every 3 months.

I think I should stop worrying about this namecheck crap and get a life.
If I can't get GC and have to go back to my country, fine. So be it.

And you bought all that ? Sorry, but I think you should make your case
heard loud. What about Garrity's testimony of 98 % cases getting
cleared within first 120 days. Are you in northen cal ?

I am frustrated because I felt we were trying to solve a problem of bureaucracy only by running into another one. I am in southern CA. Now I will be patient for one more year since the receipt shows a 730 days processing time and my RFE receipt shows 270-300 day. when both of them pass, I and CIS set to go to the court no matter what.
