Hi guys,
My wife and I had a very old case that's still pending:
WAC-02-041-5XXXX
PD 08/11/2000
I140 AD 08/20/2001
I485 RD 10/17/2001
1st FP 03/29/2002
RFE 11/??/2002
2nd FP 03/08/2005
After a long wait, we decide to take some actions (I know it's bit late). I called the USCIS national service center on 03/15/2006. And they said CSC should report my case status in writing within 30 days. Just this evening (04/17/2006), I got a letter from CSC saying that:
"Your case has been referred to the adjudicative division for review. However, if you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below."
(Well, the number is the same old 1-800 number.)
Can anybody here tell me what this means? I remember when I called CSC using that emergency number, the guy told me pretty much the same thing. A month has past, nothing seemed to have changed.
Can you tell me what other actions I can take to find out more about our "real" case status behind the cryptic statement? Shall I go ahead approaching my senator's office? Does it help to send another inquiry to the CSC-XII.485 email address?
Any suggestions/advices would be much appreciated.
