Hi,

I had initiated an inquiry for my I-485 at NSC as my RD is 05-MAY-03 and the current published date is 01-JUL-03. It is almost three weeks and there is no response till now, can I call them again or should I have to just wait. Please suggest me with your experience.

Thanks,

My Sincere Advise will be contact your local Senator or congresmen. Your phone call to NSC is like calling to a Dum person. I never seen a single thread on this forum saying that after calling NSC I got approval. I can bet on this. Since you already tried, Better go with Local Senator or Congressmen.

Good luck.

Hi plastic_card,

Thanks for your suggestion. Do you know how to approach a congressman or senator in this regard. I have seen some postings about this I will search the site for info. But please let me know if you have any knowledge about this.

Any of you please let me know how to approach a congressman or senator for my pending I-485.

Thanks,

Goto this site http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm
and find out the senator for your city. Goto their website, and usually in the information section they have something about the immigration related help.

You have to fill-in a form to release your privacy information, sign it, fax it, along with your 485 filing notice. Somebody in the office will contact USCIS and will come back to you 1-2 weeks.

Alternatively you may goto your congressman. Remember, once you approach one of them, you can goto another for this matter.

Inquiry response.

Hi All,

I got the following response after inquiry. Did any one of you got this kind of message. Please post your experience.

(we responded to your request for more information concerning
your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283)

Thanks,

It's useless to call 1-800-375-5283

I've done that for years.
Option 1-2-6-1, enter your R#, then option 1-3-3-1, you will get tranfer.
You will get three chances to talk to rep for status inquiry. They will send you the same letter which you can print out from website.
After three times, the rep will transfer you to USCIS officer, it might be in California, New Jersey, Ohio, who knows. They gonna send you a different letter which you can print out from website too.
The best way is to write to your local congressman/senetor.
But it won't help either.
:(

I did the same and I got a letter saying visa numbers are not available.... Mine is eb2 category... Not sure what the heck they are doing

Hi 485test,

Thanks,
