I got a mail for my interview (I-485) which says request for applicant to appear fom initial interview? Does it mean they may ask me to come again for interview before they approve it?
Everybody gets an interview before I-485 is approved.

No, many parents don't get interviewed but still get their I-485 approved.Everybody gets an interview before I-485 is approved.
