Inital Interview Question

So my wife and I are going in for the initial interview on Thursday afternoon and I was sitting down this evening making sure we have everything to walk in with. But I noticed on the notice to appear it says:

Original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application. Otherwise, we may keep your originals for our records.

So what does that mean exactly? Is it talking about things like how I submitted copies of my paystubs, an original copy of our marriage certificate, etc…with the application? Anything we mailed with the applications they can keep but we may not have copies of things we mailed them already so this is why I am asking.

Thanks!

You already sent them bunch of documents (copies) with her AOS package, but during the interview they might (and have every right for it) to verify legitimacy of any document submitted with the application. Or, they might ask to see anything new you got since you filed.
You have to bring your original certified marriage license and a photocopy of it to your interview, her original passport (and a photocopy of every page) with original I-94, your passport or BC, or naturalization certificate (proof of your citizenship), statements and bills with both names and so on.
Make your own copies of everything. They might not have time or working scanner in the office… they might ask to see the original document and give it back to you right way, or they might want to keep it, then you better have a copy for them to keep. Bring some pictures of you together, they might take one-two for the file.
