Information regarding I-485 & EAD receipt

Hi,

My I-485, EAD, Advance Parole was filed on Feb 27th 2003. I verified with the attorney ergarding my receipts. He spoke to INS-Nebraska with an examiner about the INS receipts and She informed him that she had heard about not getting INS receipts for past few weeks. She informed him that INS cannot re-issue notices that "Apparently have already been mailed to the Attorney". But what she can do is send my attorney a letter stating the receipt numbers etc. My attorney is expecting these receipts in 10 days. My smart attorney asked her the receipt (LIN) numbers and got LIN numbers for I-485, EAD, Advance Parole. He shared LIN numbers with me.

I thought of sharing the information.

Hi,

I am in the same boat. My RD is Feb 26 but my official receipt is never sent out. I talked to an IIO last week, she sent me a hand-write statement saying that my 485 was received. Although it is not OFFICIAL, but it is better than nothing.

I don't know whether we are going to get into trouble in the future because of this issue. For example, if we want to travel with our AP, without official 485 receipt, we may get substantial delay. But what can we do? It is their fault by failing on printing out receipts, but we have to bear the serious results.
