Information abt PCC from Indian Embassy Chicago - please respond

How long will it take if I apply for PCC from the Indian Embassy Chicago?
If so how long it is valid? 1 year or 6 months.
Can I get my PCC here from Indian Embassy and get PCC from india for my spouse ( if she is staying in India?) ?

It takes 40 - 45 days to get PCC from Chicago.

I think it\'s valid for a year. But please recheck.
