infopass

15-30 days??? oh my god. very soon it's going to be 999 days.

I actually need to go out of the country for vacation this Christmas. If i am super luck and I get the approval before Christmas, what should I do? Cancel my trip?

Questions:
1) Is it possible to schedule infopass before approval?
2) Can someone have mulitple infopass appointments at one time?
3) What is the procedure for cancelling the appointment?
4) What if you don't show up for the scheduled appointment?

Chinabee..Do not get upset with my comments...

You have not done ur FPs...right??

First you have to do ur FPs and then only you can think about Approval..Even if you get FP notice tomorrow and you take infopass appointment and do the FPs within 15 days..it is very remote that you will get approved before Christmas..

But at the same time nothing is impossible...Keep trying for ur FPs anyway..

Enjoy ur vacation and come back ...you will be approved very soon..

Good lcuk..

15-30days

I made a Infopass appointment this morning and avaliable day is 12/1/04 for me. So I agree with PrinceofJungle's point.

By the way, I will be out of country next week. I ask my lawyer that I won't have stamp ready. Will it cause any problem when I come back?
He told me to use A/P. If they tell me the A/P is expired because of my i-485 approval, I just act that I don't know ........

Does anyone has any idea on this?

485 approved and leaving country without stamp ..

NAIMINC

Lying to the officer about not knowing whether 485 is approved or not at the port of entry is not a good idea. You have received the approval notices too and when you are leaving the country the 485 is already approved so it may act against you. You should find out some definitive answers here and through the good attorney's like Rajeev or Murthy and than decide what to do ? Many people will be in the same dilemma as yours due to long waiting for infopass appointments.

Wait till someone posts their experience on this critical issue.

safely back with AP

Just update my situation to see if this can help anyone :)

I -485 approved but without stamp before leaving the country. When I came back, the people in the port did not ask me any questions. They only told me that my AP is going to be expired within a month. If I am going to travel again before I receive the real green card. I have to have a valid AP.
