Infopass without 485 approval notice

My 485 was approved in March but never received approval notice.I came to kknow about this when I contacted customer care recently and I got the letter saying the same.Can I go to the local INS office with that letter and they will do the stamping.

If anybody in the same situation please share your experience.

Hope you can

When I got my 485 approved, I had my wife and son's approval letters in mail but not mine. Even then we took infopass appointment for all of us and for my case I took the print out of the online message saying that my case is approved. I told the officer the same , she looked in her system and stamped my passport too.

Currently, I am not for sure if they stamp your passport I 551 unless you have valid travel document to travel in the near future.

You can always give it a try and Good luck.
 
I went to INS local office and they stamped my passport and took finger prints,photos,EAD,AP and told us we will get our cards in mail.
