InfoPass related question

Friends, at the time of an InfoPass appointment, can I request to speak with another Immigration Officer (the one that conducts an interview) rather than speaking with this woman-in-the-window that doesn't seem to care and has a standard answer even before you ask her a question?
Thanks in advance!

Well, in this case let me rephrase - is it possible to speak with another immigration officer who is not working in the window (one of those people that actually conduct interviews) ?
Thanks

If I were you, I would ask the name of the specific officer you would like to speak to. This way he or she (whoever is at the window) will get an idea that you are there only to see that specific officer otherwise you can irritate that person at the window if you ask for any IO who conducts interviews. If you don't have a specific officer's name, I would ask for the supervisor on duty & that may help. It helped me in the past when I visited Atlanta DO. That supervisor took down my name & number & called me the very next day as promised to answer my questions/concerns.

Infopass is useless

Infopass is useless in many cases... like in my case waiting for Name Check to be done, it is useless. I had applied for N400 on 10/06 and still waiting for the Interview Date. I had been to the infopass twice with no lulck... they gave me the same copy of a memo twice stating that your case is going through various gov. investigation.... BS.

I agree in my personal case that Infopass is useless. Drive for 2 hours, speak to someone 2 min and drive 2 hours back. Was better off calling the 1-800 # but who at times belives in them when you call them 3 times in a row and get the exact same answer because it seems like they are reading something off a card or whatever.

GhantaBro

You applied when ? in 10/2006 ????? I applied a Month prior to you and I am almost done. Do you have a unique case or something because they tell you some gov. investigation needs to be done !

Thanks Ladybuggy

I do not remember exactly, but it talks about background check by various agencies (I guess they are talking about FBI check). Ladybuggy I had applied N400 on 10/02/2006 to be exact and my fingerprinting was done on 11/06. I have not received anything after that. Went to Infopass twice, but no luck. I had talked to someone in congressman office... they asked me to send them all the documents and a week later sent me a note stating that the case is going through background check by FBI and it says that there are plenty of cases as such. I have been so frustrated and had nothing much to do... I have been meeting fortune tellers, astrologers .... anyone that can be of help. Ladybug when was your case done? THanks!

Meeting fortune tellers, astrologers....ha ha.:)

Atleast someone agrees

I found that senators and congressmen are useless as well, no one can't expedite the FBI namecheck

I am glad you & I think the same way. Senators/Congressman can tell you where you at in the process but can never expedite your N-400 pending application and clear name checks. To me they are another form of infopass.

exactly, they send the same type of inquiry to the CIS we do, so what's the point?......

You may want to talk to Atlanta_Brother and get more information about WOM lawsuits. He successfully managed to get USCIS to speed it up and got it all resolved.
