My PD (Jan 14 2002) became current in April. The last time my lawyer checked my I-485 status before retrogression he had found out that my file was stuck due to name check. I had taken an Infopass appointment and been to the interview today. Unfortunately I did not learn anything new from the Immigration officer. He just told me that my case ius still not approved and he would not know if it was due to name check.
I am wondering if I went too soon for the interview, since my PD became current only today and my interview was at 7:45 AM. I don't know if the 485 files are manually reviewed by immigration officers after the PD becomes current and then the status is updated on their systems , or if the systems are update automatically based on name check and finger printing status. If it was the first scenario then my case would not have even been opened so early in the morning, let alone being adjudicated. If it is the second scenario, which I highly doubt, then my case is still stuck in name check.
I am planning to contact the Senator's office to get clarity on my name check situation. I wonder how long it would take...
