Do not go to LA USCIS office unless you have made an appointment using Infopass. I am not certain if it is true for ALL cases in LA. But cases related to green card (passport stamping, renewal, work permit etc) MUST have Infopass apointment. They were not letting anybody in on walk-in basis. With appointment, they say they guarantee 1 hr turnaround time. I will find out on Monday.
