I don't think Columbus has infopass yet, unless they've just implemented it recently. Didn't your attorney tell you that ?
I just walked in back in december of last year.
 
I walked in 5 months back...that time No Infosspass implemented..

js123431, I went for FP in Oct 2004 & that time Infopass was not available..we just walk-in....Now its around more that 5 months & not sure whether Info-pass implemented in Columbus..pl check website..or just walk-in..best luck..

When I entered my ZIP code it took me to the registration page and the available dates were Monday 25th April. So I guess I can do this. My question is whether it is mandatory or not. I could not find any information from the document provided there.

It is mandatory. they will not let you in without an appointment unless it is an emergency. If it is for passport stamping, you can do it in another office. Try a cleveland zip code. Last time when I checked, Cleveland was giving infopass appointments within a couple of days.

Thanks UN. I will take time rather than going to Cleveland. I am in no hurry. Also I have not received my approval notice yet.
