Infopass experience on 07/02/2007

I had an Infopass appointment today. Talked to a nice lady and she told me that my name check was clear and they received the finger prints. She also told me that the internal status of my case says that "July visa Number Allocated". She did not know what that meant though but was kind enough to send an email to TSC.
I guess thats irrelevant now, because all EB categories have become unavailable..

so does that mean you have been alloted a number and may be you will get approval?
as per the latest visa bulliten what does it mean?did they allot numbers and so there will be approvals or they have already consumed all the alloted numbers?and when does this allotment happen,when one files a case or when the case gets ready for approval with everthing cleared?
we have seen numerous eb-3 approvals but hardly few eb-2.i wonder why?and now they say its unavailable.
 
my Infopass visit on 7/2/07 in Memphis, TN

I made an infopass weeks ago for today. When I got there, asked for whether IO can check the internal status to see whether my case was assigned to an office. She said she does not have that kind of access. I was disappointed. SHe pulled the printed July visa bulltin and said it looks current so your case might be in the queue as my name check was cleared. It was 10:30am.. Seems she did not know the updated July visa bulltin at all. I left the local CIS office with no meaningful info. Then I found out the revised July bulltin online after I got back to office....

Why some local CIS office can tell the internal status while some can not? is that just because she did not know how to? I might have to call TSC this week sometimes to see.

No idea, how things are processed in USCIS... Allotment is usually done just before approval...
 
EAD approval

Hi telugodu,

I see that you got your EAD renewal approved last month.

1) When did you apply and how long did it take for approval?
2) Is your case VSC to TSC transfer case?
3) Where did you apply for your EAD renewal in VSC or TSC?

I applied on 06/05/2007 and it was approved in 2-3 weeks

EAD approval

I applied for my renewal to TSC and also got my receipt notice. But I have only 2 more months left in my EAD. Mine is VSC to TSC transfered case. I was adviced to apply to TSC since my application was pending there. So I am thinking if I should send a second application to VSC since you got your approval quickly.
