InfoPass Appointment for I-485 Approved Candidates

Please help me here. My wife and I got 485 approved recently.
To get the stamping on our passports, do we need to take two Infopass appointments
(one for me and one for my wife)? Or I can take only one appointment for myself and take my wife along with me to get it stamped for both of us?

Thanks for your help!

I would say get two appointments, you might not be able to get two appointments from the same computer on the same day, you might have to use two different computers.
Here's what happened to me , I took one appointment and took my wife along, the officer checking the appointment let me into the office but I had to wait a long time to get both the stampings done since I had only one appointment(one done at appointment time and another done after everybody with appointments were done)

You need to have 2 appointments.
Just wait for some time. I was able to get the 2nd appointment in 1 hour after the 1st one from the same computer.

DEEP23 - After your FP did you have a LUD and message update

Deep23 ... Thanks for sharing your information . Congrats on your approval ....good to see 485 approvals after long time ...

Did you have a LUD and message update after your FP. I am asking becasue these days after FP the results are very confusing .. some see LUD alone some have both and some nothing at all ...

Thanks

Although the LUD did change for my case when I got the FP notices, there was no change to my wife's. We both did FP at the same time. The message on the I-485 application regarding FP is little confusing.

This is what the msg said after FP - "On Feb 24, 2004, the documents we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person whom issued"

The above LUD was for the USCIS mailing me the FP notices and not for me doing the finger printing. There was no LUD change after I did the FP (Which I did on March 4th).

Now the LUD changed again and the msg is "This case has been approved on March 31, 2005, An approval notice was mailed. If 14 days......". I also got email confirmations on this change.

I have seen variations of LUD on FP. It is hard to figure out the logic behind LUD change. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick response.- Good Luck on your Stamping

Thanks for your quick reply !!!

Since you had a recent FP i am thinking if you had done both FP + Biometric ( code 3 ) there is a possiblity for you plastic card being ordered automatically. Your message would change to "CARD ORDERED" ... NO HASSLE OF going down for a PP STAMP and you get to keep all your documents as a ALBUM

I read it in a couple of recent approval with code -3 FP.

GOOD LUCK !!

InfoPass appt available - Sunday 6:30 pm

If you are trying to get an appt via infopass, there are quite a few spots available for April 18th. I got one for me and one for my wife (04/03/2005 - Sunday 6:30 pm).

By the way , my FP was Code 1. So I guess I will have to get the Passport stamped.

Hi Deep23
I am not having any idea about Infopass. Please clarify me whether we have to take Infopass appoinment or they will allocate?

Thanks

As far as I know if your Finger Print Code is 1, then you will have to go a pre-determined immigration center to get your passport stamped. They will take the biometrics (finger printing, digital signature, photos) as a part of this process. You can find the finger print code on your finger print notice.

If the finger print code is 3 then I guess you can skip this process but I am not sure.

So Once you get your I-485 approval, you will have to logon to http://infopass.uscis.gov to make an appointment. This process will also trigger USCIS ordering a physical greencard.

As I mentioned in my previous post, Take a look at this link which summerizes Infopass process.
