Hi All;
 here is my situation
I have applied for 485 and the ID is 03/15/01 and ND is 04/05/01
My AD is approved per AM ( have not received the actual card yet )

I got laid off.

 What are my options??
My company is willing to keep me on the payroll till Sep 15th so that my 6 months from the 485 ID are complete. ( they are doing this by giving me a unpaid vacation till that date )
-Can I get a job using my AD and still keep my AC process going?
-Will INS have any issues if I am not working for my sponsoring company and working full time for a different company?
-Will I need to get the pay stubs from my sponsoring company for that period?

Any input is really appriciated...

Sorry to hear that you got laid off, but on the brighter side - ur employer seems to be good in helping you out. Since u have a EAD not AD, u can practically work for anyone. But in order to use the new rule, u should be in the same field. So try to find a employer who is as good as the present one.

There is a chance that INS might not come back with RFE, in that case u might get your GC. If RFE comes up then you need to consult more with your attorney. The worst would be start over with your new employer.

Just hope that the interpretations for the new rule come out soon.

AP = advance parole (this is the travel document)

AD = what is this?
