Info Pass Yesterday and Name Check Cleard but NSC Rep says not

I guess i don't believe in what rep says at 1800, i am pretty sure i talk to one of IO at NSC

Info Pass Io said my name check cleard on Sep 7th, but when i called 1800 to make sure the same they said it's still pending. Who do we believe in then. I better believe in Infopass guys. WIth the overwhelming calls, they are not providing any great information other than keeping us in dilemma

Based on my experience, infopass is more reliable than customer service. Sometimes you hear a slightly different story during the same infopass appointment between the frontdesk and the back but the basic information (cleared / not cleared) is confirmed. In my case both IO stated that my name check got cleared but they did not agree on the date (08/23 or 08/28).

Some people in this forum have relied on a statistic approach by collecting answers from many queries before making up their mind. Not a bad idea but they are just overwhelming the system making it somewhat less reliable.

You are right that due to the overwhelming number of calls the 1800 does not give you any useful information anymore... When I tried yesterday to get a status and then open a Service Request I got connected without delay to a NSC IO who took 5 minutes to check my file but then would not tell me anything. "Call back in 60 days if you do not hear from us" she just said...
