Hello all,

I filed concurrent I-30 and I-485 for my mom back in July 2013. Back in April I got a notice from USCIS that I-130 is approved and another notice congragulating my mom on approval of Permanent Resident application. After few days we a letter from Dept of Homeland Security to provide Police Certificate because of finger prints of my mom was not readable. She was called twice for finger printing and got her Advance Parole and Work Authorization card following her second finger printing. I was surprised to get this Police clearance letter so late in the process. Did anyone have similar experience?

We submitted the Police certificate on May 19th at the Altanta Office and was told to wait for 30 days. Its been about 45 days now. I have already called the USCIS help number and a service request was open, but we received letter from Atlanta office after 2 days that the case is under review and they cannot advise any timing of completing this case.

I am wondering if contacting the Local Congressman would be more helpful or getting an Info Pass appointment? Appreciate your input or experience.

Thanks.

I was looking at Info Pass appointment and for my case (Services on a case that has already been filed) the available option is;

Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.
As I mentioned in my post above I did opened a service request with NCSC and got a letter on June 19th, that case is under consideration and no processing timing can be given.

So based on above circumstances, can someone please provide any guidance.
