Info Pass advice needed for Name Check Issue

Dear All,
I have an appointment with ASC day after tomorrow with an immigration officer and I want to discuss about the FBI Name check issue which is holding lots of cases in the last quarter of Dec 2002 .

I would like to collect any valuable suggestion, advice or any experience by the Guru's how to handle the Immigration Officer, so that I can atleast make a small effort in helping myself and hopefully others in the forum who are suffering with the same issue.
 
As far as I know, ASC does not have Immigration officers. They are in INS local offices. ASC is there to accept your finger prints and biometric information and thats about it.

During my last visit to ASC, A lady showed up to find her case status and she was turned away. They dont deal with case / name check status etc as they have nothing to do with it.

Local INS office might be of help, but not ASC for sure.
 
I agree. It is actually the INS Local Office in Newark, NJ and I was trying for an appointment at different times and I got this appointment last Friday.

So just keep trying and you never know when you will get one.

Hi Needhelp,

I managed to reach vermont customer service center, I gave name and, eac number, mentioned the fact that my case was pending because of name check issue and, recently received a response from fbi that name check request was not received from uscis. She said a name check was requested in September, 04 and, they are waiting for the results. I mentioned the fact, that I got an email from fbi a week-ago, she put me on hold for sometime and, later told me, that they sent request to washigton (didn't ask to whom) and, they will forward that to FBI and, that is the reason FBI has mentioned that no request is made.
