hi, i recently got my employment based GC. as i know, if i get married in my home country, i'll have to file for I130 for wife. my questions are..

1- do i need to file I130 as soon as we get married ? if yes then what happens after that since the current visa bulletin says that there is a 3-4 year backlog on i130 applications.

2 - what things i should keep in mind during marriage from the visa petition point of view ?

3 - any idea if the F2A dates might get current sometime next year?

Sooner you apply, the faster her green card will be processed - priority date is assigned based on the date USCIS receives I-130 petition. There is a wait of several years based on country of birth but unfortunately she cannot travel with to US before her green card is processed unless she can get an H1b visa on her own.

It is impossible to predict how the F2A dates will move in the future.
