My husband got his green card based on employment and my children and I got it from him.if my husband happens to be laid off or he chooses to quit is that in any way going to affect my and my childrens' PR and/or our naturalization?

I took a look at the N-400 form and I don't think it does. It asks for YOUR employment history, not your husband's. As far as I know, the reasons you mentioned should not affect your naturalization process.
