I got my oath letter. Here is my timeline:

Receipt: June 8, 2005
FP: June 28, 2005 (done August 03, 2005 in Louisville, KY)
Interview: October 17, 2005 (in Indianapolis, IN)
Oath: January 26, 2006 (in Indianapolis, IN)

Dates on immigration website are ... interesting. When I was interviewed, it was showing May 2005. When I received an oath letter it was showing July 30th. Go figure...

At your interview, did they say anything about your name check ?
I did not ask about the name check.

Officer asked me about every item on N-400, added one trip abroad that I had after the application (looked up dates in my passport). Then he asked me to put my folder away, asked me to write a sentence, asked me 10 questions from the list of questions (I answered them all right), said that my conversational English is fine. Then he wrote recommendation/pass interview form and told me to wait for letter, and not inquire for 2 month.

I asked if I can take oath the same day, because I live far and have 2 small kids. He said that it is only for those who go abroad immediately.

At that time I thought everything will go fast and smooth. I started reading this forum after it was 60 days past the interview, and no oath letter was coming, and dates on a website were misleading.

My name (both married, and original) are not very common, and I am a female from Russia.
