Hi All, I am new here and have a specific question for issuance of new passport.
I am in US on L1 (wife on L2). We just had a kid and the baby was born in India.
While applying for a passport in India we are facing problems regarding proof of address. the passport application requires proof of address where we are residing for past 2 years (in case not, the past address where we were residing). Since we are in US for over 3 years, we really do not have any address for past 3 years in India (basically no address proof such as bank account, property document etc.)
Do we have any alternative such as proving residence address of US?
Can we apply for an Indian passport in Indian Embassy (even though the baby is born in India)
Any help in this matter is appreciated
