India Visit after H1B transfer

Hi All,

Hi All,

I am very worried about my below query as I had different opinions about this :

I came to USA on company A payroll with H1B Visa for me (H4 Visa for my Spouse & Son) in November 2011. In July 2012, My H1B transferred to company B.

Now I am planning to visit India during November-December this year, My question is should I go again for Visa stamping in US consulate. My Current Visa Stamp which has company A as employer is valid till April 2014.

I have my new I797 forms which I got after my H1B transfer to company B.

I came to know from some websites that if I have valid Visa I can enter US showing valid I797 and even US consulate does not give stamp if you already have 6 months valid stamp but I am not sure till what extend it is true.

Please provide your valuable opinion.

Regards,

Your current H1 visa is valid even after you change employers, no need to get a new visa. Carry your original approval notice when you travel.

Hi,

Thanks for Reply.

Do we have any contact like any customer care, any portal or any other US authorized agency which can provide input on my this query as I want to make sure that I do not get any trouble During my entry on US Port.
