Hello,
As per http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/police-cert/asia-pacific/india.html website, it appears that I can get a police clearance from the local SSP/Commissioner of Police's office - OR - the Regional Passport Office.
Has anyone got the PCC from the local SSP/CP? If so, is there a definite format for the certificate? I mean, what should the certificate say?
Alternately, what is the format of police clearance received from the RPO or the embassies in the USA?
Would really appreciate if some Gurus who have already got their PCCs (from Embassy or PCC or RPO) could share the exact format / text of the Police clearance certificate - since there are no such "form numbers" available in India (like the FD-258 used by FBI) to present the format.
I would be travelling back to US in a few days and have less than 60 days to submit the PCCs. Would going through the embassy in Washington DC be faster or the local police station in India?
Thanks a lot,
Gopal
