Why is it that India is stuck around the 245i deadline date of April 30, 2001....
where as all the other countries, like China/Mexico are still way far from April 2001....?

most predictions were hinting towards 245i applications being mostly from Mexico/China/India...

Mexico/China EB3 dates are well past April 30, 2001 ...Does this mean that the 245i applicants from EB3 from Mexico/China have all got approved? (there were around 200k applicants with possible 2x factor for dep count amounting to 400k 485 petitions about 3 years quota...and it's been 5 years since that date)

If so, the date of April 30, 2001 should no longer feared upon...it should hopefully surpass it for India too in the near future....

haoyun04,

Thanks for compiling this information. What this shows it that the initial retro date of Jan '98 was a knee jerk reaction. They probably based that date on the oldest India EB3 PD in the system (there are always exceptions). This knee jerk reaction was corrected within 6 months as the dates moved to April '01. The true problem starts now I guess. India EB3 dates have languished in April '01 for 5 months now. My best guess is that the date will probably move to April 30th in the Nov bulletin. If the demand is huge then the dates may even move back to 15th April again. Who knows?

The milling dollar question is how long the dates will remain at April 30th once it gets there. Most people are stating that it will be another year atleast if not more.

saras

I think we are following the same pattrern as Mexico while China and Phillipines are alike.

Mexico dates:

oct 2006: 01 may 2001

sep 2006: 22APR01

aug 2006: 22APR01

july 2006: 22APR01

june 2006: 22APR01

may 2006: 15 apr 2001

apr 2006: 08 apr 2001

so my conclusion would be that in Nov also its going to be 22nd April 2001 for India.

Saras, I have a question for U:

While China has moved the fastest and gone past April 2001, India seems to be the slowest....does this mean there are more 24i cases only in India?

Can you shed some light into this?

Apparently there are ...

harakad,

Good observation on the Mexico dates. I am afraid you might be right in your assumption that India EB3 will probably stay stuck on April 22 for 2-4 months (till December atleast) and then finally move to April 30 or May 01. Once they get to April 30 or May 01, they might stay there for the rest of the Fiscal Year '07. India EB3 will probably break free from April '01 in FY08 (starting in Oct '07). That is the best case scenario according to some.

As for your question about how many 245i cases are from India. I don't think anyone can give us a good answer to the question. By the way the dates are stuck in 2001 for EB3 India, we have to assume that there are a lot of them. There are no reliable stats on this so we have to assume the worst.

saras
