Independent Consultant on EAD

Hi,
I have been currently on H1-B with my current employer. I have already got EAD as well as AP approved. Looks like I may lose my current job in few weeks. I have got an offer for 6 month contract from a company, however they want to go either corp to corp. or pay me directly on 1099. My question is, Can I use EAD and join this company? If yes, Do i have to invoke AC21? if yes , Do I have to find a company that will support my GC ?Greatly appreciate your help.

Can I use EAD and join this company?

Yes you can if you are otherwise eligible, i.e. you can use EAD in and of itself for self-emloyment work (contractual work) but remember to file quarterly tax estimates...

If yes, Do i have to invoke AC21? if yes , Do I have to find a company that will support my GC ?
