When should we let them know about incorrect or missing middle/first/last names? Experienced CPers, please let us know if it is at the document collection stage or the final interview stage.

I have my H1 valid untill end of 2003.If I go for CP and gets rejected say for some reason,then can I come back to US and stay untill my H1 expiry time or not
