I recently got a new passport from Indian embassy in SF - as my old passport expired after 10 yrs. In the new passport they mis spelled my fathers name . Instead of "Raghav" they spelled "Raghal". (last letter is incorrect).

My old passport is still attached to new passport and old pasport ofcourse has correct name. I use fathers name as my middle name and hence correct fathers name is there on plastic card.
I tried calling indian Embassy in SF but it is always busy. I send a Email, no reply yet - gone past 3 weeks.

Any body has previous experience ? any body can think of any possible problems and solutions to this ?? Thanks

Go get it personally. They may correct your father name with a note. It appears like a typo and can be corrected easily from l to v by adding a back slash (it is an idea only it may or may not work). Good luck!
