Dear ALL,

I am applying for adjustment of status - I485 for my Parents who are in USA on B2 Visitor visa. My query is:

1. My Father's name as it appears on passport is SATISH KUMAR ARORA. But the Marriage Certificate and the Birth Certificate both show his name as SATISHKUMAR DINESHCHANDRA ARORA. I mean SATISH KUMAR is his first name. His middle name - DINESHCHANDRA is specified on these two certificates but that was missing in his passport. Is it O.K. with his applicationS (I-485, I-131 etc.) for ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS leading to obtaining Green Card ? Could you kindly suggest something, if something is required to be done in this regard as, for example, taking an affidavit with a notary/advocate ?

not indian, but a first name that has two? and then a middle name? culture difference i guess.

i think it should be okay since they deal with this all the time and most of the name is on most papers. a slight delay at best. and remember, there are people that never use their middle names and is only on some documents and they get their papers. do let us know what heppens so future individuals could do the petition slightly different.

I think it should be ok. Additionally, if you get the affidavits they should be from close relatives on Stamp Paper & notarized by attorney - best if the affidavits are from his parents (your grandparents) or other close relatives who are older than him. Make sure in the affidavits your father's name is spelt as it is in the PP.
