I am filing I-864 as a sponsor.
My question is about my income. Is it come before tax and deductions or after?

Thank you for you answer!:)

If you had filed income tax returns, amount written on line 37 (Adjusted Gross Income) of 1040 2008 should be used for I-864 purpose

Thanks for your answer.
However, for the #23 in the I-864 : Current Individual Annual Income, that is to determine my 125% of Poverty Line in the I-864P (I want to just use me as a single sponsor). But my tax return is joint with spouse.therefore, the income on the line 37 is actually the household income... I am still not sure about it...
any people had a similary situation?

Line 23 should show your income and look at poverty line guidelines, if it meets or exceeds then your requirement, you do not need to use your spouse's income for affidavit purpose, if you were to use spouse's income, then write her income on 24b and in this case you also have to fill I-864A on behalf of your spouse
Current here means year 2008

My understanding for current income in line 23 is the year of 2009. Because in line 25 the most recent year would be 2008.
My concern is that my income before tax and other deductions would be over the poverty line, but it would be under the line if it is after tax......

Thanks whitemimauz3 and others...
