Hi
I had put in my entire net worth while filling up the application form
for permanent residency. I had also given the relevant documents
I am preparing to land now. I am told that the funds that I should be
carrying during landing should be equal to what was stated while
filing the application.
At this stage, I cannot transfer the entire net worth in one shot. How
do I justify my position to the visa officer.
Can I carry - say USD 20 - 30 K with me and carry proof of the rest of
the amount (Eg. a letter from the bank?)

Yes! you can do that!! Take it in the form of Draft in your name. Usually once the CIC sees the you have sufficient funds on hand at the time of landing (USD $20 - $30K) I doubt if you will be asked as to where the rest of the $$$,$$$'s are :).

Let us know the outcome!!
