Hey guys, my uncle applied for a canadian visitor visa. He was interviewed by the immigration officer and the immigration officer accused him of making false statement into a government form. My uncle tried to explain that he did not understand the question and he did not intent to make a false statement.
At the end, the officer denied the visa and gave him a letter that he is for a period of 2 years inadmissible in Canada.
Do you know if he can appeal or ask for pardon. He wants his name cleared for the future trips to canada?
What are the ramifications of something like that after 2 years?
Thanks

Hi There,

I am not sure what the details were in your uncle's petition to obtain a Visitor Visa for Canada. If your uncle is currently not allowed to enter Canada for the next 2 years make sure he does not. If he is caught, it will be an instant deportation i.e jail time, thus meaning banned from Canada for life. My suggestion would be to have an interpretter present during his interview with the visa officer and try to persuade them to re-open his case.
