in EAD -Adv Parole stage. Lawyer wants to file H1 again??

My EAD card expires in May 01.

My lawyer wants to file for H1B extension (since my earlier H1B will
expire in 04/01)

I dont see any necessity. Any thoughts?

The only advantage you get is, for any reason if your 485 is rejected or you AD card expires then you can still work till H1B is valid. This holds good only if you have entered US on H1.

If you have entered US on Advance Payroll then there is no point in getting your H1B renewed.

I have re-entered on advanced parole.

Can you tell me why it becomes a problem when you use advanced parole
versus when you dont?
