In a commuter marriage - will this affect my N400 application

Hi, I am married to my wife who is a US Citizen. I have been married for 8 years now and have a green card. We own a house together, have joint accounts, have filed joint taxes for 8 years. However due to job (and tax) situations we are in a commuter marriage and have separate addresses - she and I live in different cities for the last 7 years. Other than the commuter marriage we have a pretty normal marriage and quite frankly have a lot of fun and love each other. Is the commuter marriage going to hurt my N400 application?. Would appreciate any help and comments regarding the matter. Thank you.

It depends

On how you got the GC. For employment based GC its a non-issue. For marriage based GC it could pose a small problem. But if you have joint house , accounts and kids then its easy to prove that its not a sham marriage.

I got a GC based on marriage. No kids yet. But we have joint house, joint accounts, joint tax returns, joint mountain climbing trips etc, marriage pictures etc. Any more comments are welcome. Thanks.

You can probably expect to be asked about this during interview, but with 8 years in the bank, it shouldn't be much of a problem.
