Chicago local INS office will no longer be issuing APs for EB cases. The application for APs will have to be sent to NSC for processing.
Two weeks ago they had changed their policy and was asking applicants to appear at the local office with photo IDs, however, when I showed up there with my company lawyer this week, they had changed the policy once again and were no longer accepting AP applications. Too bad..
I am not sending my AP application to the NSC since 1) I have a valid H1 visa and my wife and I have not used our EAD\'s so far. 2) Chicago local office may change their policy once again in the near future.
Pls. post if you find that the Chicago Local INS is once again accepting AP applications for EB applicants.
