Just came back and entered on AP. Make sure you have all the docs to prove your employment. A guy in front of me was grilled at the "secondary inspection" and asked to give a proof that he was "currently" employed. The INS officer asked him why he was out of country for so long (1 month!!)? It will be useful to have
1. your last paystub just before you leave
2. boss\'s mobile no (in case its a holiday)
3. lawyer\'s mobile no
4. ID/visting card
The INS officer presumed that he was laid off and asked him to prove otherwise! Kind of like "guilty till proven innocent"!

My lawyer has asked me to carry the following

1) Paystubs for the last three pay periods.
2) Current Employment letter.
3) H1 original if entering on H1. If entering on AP, then AP approval copy, I485 receipt copy and EAD card/approval notice.
4) Passport with valid visa (if on H1).
