Interview Waived

I have applied at Buffalo RPC. They have asked us to wait 6 months for medical. I'm in US on H1 and my H1 will end before the 6 months they have asked us to wait.

Should I take a chance and go for the medical.

If I wait for 6 months then I will have to go to India and take the medical there.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sandy.

its probably better that you wait for 6 months. you can take your medicals in india, no problems with that. i took mine in india and got my landing papers now, without much hassle. there may be a week's time difference between doing the medicals in india and the US. so its upto you to take your medicals.

but keep in mind that, in some cases, people in this forum have reported that they had to go back to the same doctor for additional medical tests if CIC asks you to do. so make sure the doctor you go to for your medical test for the first time is reachable to you (i mean if you will have a visa to go to US again) at a later time before you get your landing papers. good luck....

so you did a change of address to india - did that create a problem. also if i wait six months my police certificate will expire.

i did not change the address to india. instead, i gave my friends address in chicago for all CIC communications. i was not required to submit another police certification luckily. but that would be a problem, i agree. nowadays they ask for updated police certificates.

others - any other thought folks?
