I have a relative who is 17 years of age and her parents bought her into the country on fruad documents. She doesnt hold these documents and or knows where or what has happened to them. Her parents left the country for an emergency and she has to also leave. Now she is a lebanese citizen and her passport is expired, she went to the consult in her area to renew it and he told her Im going to have to send it to lebanon and may take up to 2 months for them to send it back. She really can't wait that long. She was thinking about asking to get departed. How can she do that? what are the consiquences? and how long will it take for them to depart her? will it be trouble?

The best thing she can do is to get a new Lebanese passport and return to her country even if it takes 2 months. She should tell the Lebanese embassy about her predicament and they might be able to help her with an emergency passport. She is a citizen of their country and and they are here to help their people, that is their job.

If she tries to get deported she may be in a deportation facility which is a jail like experience, for 6 months to a year. Since no one has uncovered the fraud as yet, at least she has some chance of returning to the US in the future but if she gets deported there is no chance she will be allowed to return ever.
